Court Appointed Mentor Program
The Well encourages people to volunteer in existing programs as well as new opportunities to improve the lives of children. One such local program is C.A.M.P. - the Court Appointed Mentoring Program. Court Appointed Mentors are trained community volunteers appointed by a judge to serve as additional support and encouragement as the family progresses through the Families In Need of Services (FINS) early intervention program.
In order to become a Mentor, the volunteer must:
- Be over the age of 18
- Consent to a background check and drug screen
- Commit to at least 1 hour of volunteer time per week
- Complete an application and training course
- Authorize a statement of commitment and pledge of confidentiality
- Accept supervision from C.A.M.P. manager, staff and court
For volunteer information, contact the C.A.M.P. office at 985-543-3290 or email latino_ti@citycourt.org.
