Summer BLAST Project
During the week of May 1st, over one thousand backpacks will be distributed to children in need of basic educational supplies as part of the Summer BLAST Project, created by First UMC Hammond.
We will be collecting the following supplies at The Well until April 22nd, when all the children and youth
are invited to a "Packing and Pizza" Party, where they will stuff backpacks with the supplies.
Required Supplies:
(Need at least 70 of each)
Notebooks
Packs of crayons
Pencil sharpeners
Optional Supplies
(Will pack as we have them)
Drawing pads, construction paper, colored pencils, markers, scissors, glue,
flashcards, children's magazines, new or gently used children's books
