Lent

The season of Lent is forty days prior to Easter (excluding Sundays).  It has been traditionally celebrated by Christians as a time of giving up earthly pleasures and/or taking on Spiritual disciplines.  This practice identifies us with the character of Jesus.  It prepares us for the celebration of Easter.

At The Well  we will be offering prayer groups meeting at different times. You are encouraged to find your way into one of them.
The prayer groups are offered at the following times:

          Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. at the church.  Facilitated by Mary Corban
          Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. at the church. Facilitated by Dr. O'Dell
          Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the church  Facilitated by Heather Curtis
          Thursday afternoons at 1:30 at the church. Facilitated by Kimmberly Broussard

There are other significant ways you can observe Lent.  Consider these;

     Write a letter each week to someone who has given you much in faith.  Appreciate them.
     Write a letter each week to someone who needs encouragement or prayer.
     Consider making a financial gift by not going out to eat or sacrificing something.  This gift could be designated to Haiti relief or the Cambodia Youth camp.  Or perhaps you would like to make your gift to the Building Note of The Well in appreciation, memory, or honor of someone.
     Change your diet and exercise.  Click here for a suggestion following Wesleyan principles.
